Compass Parent Guide
Compass is the main online platform used by OLSS to help families stay connected with school life. Through Compass, parents and carers can receive school news, submit attendance notes, view important dates, provide consent and payment for events, order from the canteen, view learning tasks and book parent-teacher conferences.
Families can access Compass through a web browser or by downloading the Compass School Manager App from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Each family receives a unique username and password from the school. If you have not received your login details, or need help accessing your account, please contact the school office.
Through Compass, parents can:
Report an absence or late arrival
Read school news and notifications
View the school calendar and upcoming events
Consent and pay for excursions and events
View learning tasks, assessment information and reports
Book parent-teacher conferences
Update contact details

Families can access Compass through a web browser or by downloading the Compass School Manager App from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Each family receives a unique username and password from the school. If you need help logging in, please contact the school office.
Parents can submit an attendance note through Compass if their child is away, arriving late or leaving early. In the app, select the Shortcuts button, choose Submit Attendance Note, select the reason, add details and submit.
Compass will show an alert when an event requires parent action. Open the event, review the details, complete any required questions, provide consent and make payment if required.

When conferences are available, parents can access bookings through the Conferences section in Compass. Select the conference cycle, choose an available time and confirm your booking.
