Grandparents Day 2016

14 April 2016 | General Interest

Our last day of term saw our annual Grandparents’ Day for our K-2 children, with what appeared to be a larger than ever crowd in attendance. We were able to welcome our children’s grandparents, some of whom are locals, but many from Sydney, rural NSW, interstate, and even a number from countries such as Portugal, Ireland, Brazil, UK and USA. We have received an enormous amount of positive feedback from a large number of grandparents, many of whom took the trouble to send letters and cards to acknowledge their experience.

This annual event is one of our biggest each year in terms of size and I take this opportunity to thank the many K-2 parents who donated and assisted with morning tea under the leadership of our P&F Daytime Committee. Thank you also to our wonderful K-2 teaching staff, who along with Mrs Jenny Morris, prepared the children, our Year 6 helpers and office staff who ensured things ran smoothly. Thank you also to Greg Fisher and Sean Tobin for much needed assistance in the carpark.  We look forward to welcoming our K-2 grandparents back again next year.
