Farewell Mr. Costa

19 January 2016 | General Interest

We had a wonderful turnout on Friday to say farewell to Jack Costa. We were overwhelmed with the enormous amount of students, ex-students, staff and parents who took time out from their school holidays to be present. Clearly this was due to the enormous respect and esteem Jack was held in.

On behalf of our community I sincerely thank everyone who could come along, especially in school holidays. I also acknowledge and thank the many ex-students who came along, many of whom were in their High School uniform. Jack’s family were blown away by the presence of so many – and our students and ex-students stood out in their uniforms and help mark the occasion so well.

Because of the holidays, we know not everyone who wanted to be there could be. We appreciate your prayers and thoughts, even if you couldn’t attend.

I also thank the many parents and families who assisted with catering under the coordination of Cheryl Jones. This was yet another example of our community in action and the wonderful spirit we are so fortunate enough to enjoy.

Thank you everyone and anyone who contributed.

God bless, Mr Robert Peers
